The strawberries have started to crop even though it isn't very warm and isn't very sunny, but there has been some rain at last...

They are nowhere near as good looking as the shop-bought berries but they taste really good.
Some of them are misshapen and densely clustered under the leaves near the ground instead of being held high to get sun and air around them. I think that may be due to the long drought we have had.  Also a lot of them have been attacked by tiny slugs, of which there is a surfeit this year. Grr!

The broad beans are beginning to look edible and if this rain continues we should be picking them soon...

The winter onions are starting to turn over and I am taking them home as they flop, to use straight away in the kitchen.
